Festival Patrons Jane Millichip and Marc Jobst select Tom Harper’s raucous and uplifting 2018 British film. Jessie Buckley mesmerises in the titular role that brought her to global attention as Rose-Lynn Harlan, a rebellious Glaswegian single mum fresh out of jail with a burning desire to be a Nashville country star. Harper and Buckley both had big years in 2025 with the Peaky Blinders movie and Hamnet, respectively. This collaboration is a treat for the senses and an early benchmark for two great careers.
