Mother Vera is the visually stark and striking film inspired by co-director Alys Tomlinson’s photographic series Ex-Voto. In a hidden Orthodox monastery in wintery Belarus, the film weaves the inner world of Vera, an unorthodox young nun, with the community surrounding her that saved her life. The Goods Shed does simulate the aesthetics of the film - bring your base layers, blankets and hot water bottles. The bar will be open and hot drinks will be available.
Followed by Q&A with Anna Gormley, Hatty Bell (of PLOT Collective) and joined by one of the film.
